Give classic sweets such as Rice Krispie Treats, Dessert Dirt, and Caramel Apples a little twist to create yummy Halloween treats. Whether at home, school, or the office, these easy desserts are sure to be a treat for everyone! Plus spooky Halloween party to share along with your delicacies.

Halloween Crispies

Starting with the original Rice Krispie Treat as a base, there are a couple of easy modifications you can make to turn this classic into a Halloween favorite!

First you can make additions to the ingredients. For example, you can add caramel for fall flavor or food coloring for a cool Halloween look.

Then, while the mixture is still warm, use Halloween shaped cookie cutters to cut fun shapes such as pumpkins, ghosts, or witches instead of the usual bars. You can also add chocolate chips to create funny characters and make a treat perfect for any Halloween party.

Grave Dirt Cups

Start out by mixing up a batch of Dirt Dessert.

To turn your dirt into truly Spooky Soil, add in candies such as gummy worms, insects, or spiders. You can serve in clear throwaway cups or let guests dig out their serving of worms and dirt from a plastic cauldron fit for the occasion.

Two Tone Candy Apples

Finally, we have an extra special variation on the candied apple. Melt 14 ounces of caramel with about a tablespoon of water on your stove-top, stirring constantly so that the mixture does not burn. Then dip six washed apples of your choice (many people choose Granny Smiths for their tart, tangy taste) individually in the caramel mixture. Set the apples on a sheet of wax paper and let them cool for about 10 minutes. Next, melt 4 ounces of chocolate chips, and dip the apples halfway into the melted chocolate. Let your treats cool entirely on the wax paper and serve.
