Every year there are thousands of people hurt or killed due to the drinking and driving. About 20% of the traffic fatalities all over the world take place due to drunk driving.
If you are planning on throwing a holiday party or dinner this year then you have several important responsibilities. One of your duties as host is to set behavior expectations at your celebration. Remind your friends, loved ones, and other guests to be careful and make responsible choices if they will be driving. Do not allow anyone to force or trick others into drinking at your parties. You should also provide alternate means of transportation or a comfy couch for those who have overindulged. Remember, prevention is always better than cure.
